We arranged the evening as a surprise for one of our colleagues who has since taken ‘early retirement’ and left our company. Some of our Party had not previously visited Lion Quays, and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere. The facilities offer a professional image yet welcoming environment. We entered the main Function Room, the tables were crisply dressed, and despite it being a very warm sunny August Evening the room was delightfully themed for Christmas and we immediately got into the swing of the festivities. The food was cooked to perfection, not like some Christmas events whereby the plates seem to be served in mass production.We enjoyed a 3-course meal followed by coffee and mints. Delightful. The resident DJ was excellent at ‘getting people up’ before the grand finale – Robbie! Our carriages departed at 12.30pm just as we were all turning into pumpkins What a superb evening’s entertainment, a night to be remembered by all and one that we didn’t really want to end.
