You can choose from 48 group exercise classes per week at Lion Quays Country Club, near Oswestry. Our qualified and friendly gym team are readily available to give advice and motivation.

ABS BLAST – Toning & Strength
30 minutes of pure abdominal and core exercises!!!

BODY PUMP – Toning & Strength
The fastest way to shape up and lose body fat! A toning and conditioning class with weights set to music, guaranteed to keep you moving and motivated through the whole class!

FIGHT FX – Toning & Strength
Martial arts-inspired fight sequences and conditioning drills devised to strip fat and amplify power, co-ordination and confidence.

PUMP XPRESS – Toning & Strength
A condensed version of the Body Pump class.

AQUACISE – Mobility & Flexibility
Low impact all over body toning exercises performed against the resistance of the water, a safe and fun workout in the pool.

BODY BALANCE – Mobility & Flexibility
This holistic fitness programme is designed to tone, relax and renew. A combination of Yoga, T'ai Chi and Pilate's set to relaxing and calming music.

CORE & FLEXIBILITY – Mobility & Flexibility
This session centres on rehabilitation, stabilisation and strengthening of the small and large muscle groups. Great for maintaining peak performance, recovery from injury, or simply to focus on core areas. Suitable for all levels.

This HIIT orientated class is for those hardcore enough to take the challenge to be put through their paces and pushed to their physical limits.

XBA EXPRESS - High Intensity
45 minute version of body assault circuit class.

Come rain, hail or shine this is the time to work hard and train. A full body workout leaving you energised to face the day ahead.

ENDURANCE SPIN – High Intensity
This isn’t for the faint hearted spinner! This is a hardcore spin class filled with lots of high intensity and demanding features to really get your lungs and legs working.

JUNIOR GYM – Specialist & Holistic
Fitness class for children age 9-15. Junior members can spend an hour working out with our fully qualified, CRB checked junior instructor. Includes aerobic, cardio, flexibility, balancing skills and team orientated activities.

BOOTY BARRE – Specialist & Holistic
A combination of Pilates, Ballet, Yoga & Balance, helping you tone and burn those calories.

NIA DANCE – Specialist & Holistic
A dynamic blend of dance, martial and healing arts, balancing technical precision with free-form expression. Nia brings the body, mind, emotions and spirit to optimum health through music and movement, delivering cardiovascular, whole-body conditioning. Most of all, Nia is exhilarating and fun!

OVER 50'S TONE & REVIVE - Specialist & Holistic
Gentle all over body conditioning and cardio exercise designed specifically for our more mature members.

PILATES – Specialist & Holistic
A series of mental and physical exercises focusing on core stability, strength, flexibility and posture.

YOGA AND CONDITIONING – Specialist & Holistic
A series of mental and physical exercises focusing on control of breathing, improving your flexibility, posture and core strength.

ZUMBA FITNESS © – Specialist & Holistic
With pulsating Latin rhythms and red-hot international dance steps, it’s the best way to party your way into shape.

ZUMBA GOLD – Specialist & Holistic
A milder, lower impact version of Zumba for all fitness levels.

BLAST FX – Heart & Lungs
Evolution becomes revolution with Blast FX. Intense, conditioning exercises to burn fat and boost fitness levels.

BODY ATTACK - Heart & Lungs
A sports-inspired cardio workout for building strengthen and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilisation exercises.

ATTACK EXPRESS - Heart & Lungs
30 minute version of body attack class.

BODY COMBAT – Heart & Lungs
Combining moves and stances from a range of self-defence disciplines like karate, boxing and taekwondo, this workout will raise your fitness levels throughout the whole body.

A condensed version of the Body Combat class.

H.I.I.T– Heart & Lungs/High Intensity
High intensity interval training, short intense bursts of exercise followed by short periods of recovery - not for the faint hearted.

SPIN– Heart & Lungs
A highly effective, motivating, cardiovascular workout performed on the industry's highest spec indoor cycles. No co-ordination needed, but don't forget your sweat towel.

EARLY RISER SPIN – Heart & Lungs
A great start to get you set for your day being part of a fun and energetic spin class but for early birds.

EASY RIDER SPIN – Heart & Lungs
Spin for beginners, a slightly gentler version of the spin class, still providing you with a great cardiovascular workout.

Spin for all levels, this will help you feel great about yourself finishing off the weekend in style with a good cardiovascular blast to the system.

STOMP FX – Heart & Lungs
Step class formulated for maximum calorie burn and fitness improvements, delivering a dynamic, athletic exercise program.

Michelle, Country Club Manager, and her team are dedicated to ensuring a wide range of studio fitness classes are available. They continually strive to include the most up-to-date and popular options for our members.

Due to the popularity of our classes, we operate a class booking system.  If you would like to reserve your place in a class, please telephone our Country Club directly on 01691 684400.  For all classes, appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn.
